2006 Formula 1 season gets under way

The season opened in Bahrain with massive changes in the rules. Thankfully we're back to allowing tire changes so that should make things safer. The biggest changes were the new 8-cylinder engines and the new qualifying format. I'm afraid you will have to go to the F1 site for more on that. It's very very late now so I'll have to post the race summery at a later time but for now just know that this year looks to be the most competitive yet with 4 or 5 teams having a realistic, and even good, chance at the championships. Also know that Kimi is an ungodly driver who, if McLaren can keep a car under him, will run away with the drivers title.

Stay tuned for more.
