Soldiers Say Porn Ban May Hurt Morale

Soldiers Say Porn Ban May Hurt Morale Stars and Stripes | Seth Robson | May 05, 2008 GRAFENWOHR, Germany -- "Legislation that would restrict the sale of certain men's magazines on U.S. military bases around the world would be bad for morale, according to soldiers at Grafenwöhr."

I have been to Graf. It's an artillery range out in the middle nowhere. You don't get to see many girls there. It's not as bad as being stationed on the Rock or at the DMZ but it's still lacking for anything remotely "interesting" to do.

This topic, though, isn't as cut-n-dry as it might seem. Porn is good but in moderation and at an appropriate time & place. In your bunk after duty with a Playboy. Not on the computer during duty hours. Now, I love porn as much as the next guy. But you can't let it interfere with your life.

Even if you are bored stiff (no pun intended) sitting at a listening post on top of a mountain in Turkey.
