Myanmar: Suu Kyi pleads not guilty at trial, party says | updated 3:03 p.m. EDT, Fri May 22, 2009 | YANGON, Myanmar (CNN) -- "Aung San Suu Kyi declared herself innocent of charges she finally heard in court for the first time Friday, the fifth day of her trial on allegations of subversion."

More fun in South East Asia. I recommend that everyone who thinks they live with a screwed up Government research news about Myanmar (aka Burma), Pakistan, Thailand, and especially North Korea. I am giving a talk to a local high school in a few days about my experiences during the Cold War. While preparing for it, I was thinking about the potential for the next big war. The epicenter, in my opinion, will be North Korea.

While it's difficult with the current cultural mores, particularly in the US, to think beyond oneself, if we are going to prevent WWIII then everyone needs to learn about and understand the rest of the world. Preferably with an objective and open mind.
