Hey Ubuntu, Stop Making Linux Look Bad

Hey Ubuntu, Stop Making Linux Look Bad Christopher Smart Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 - "It’s the same old story. A new Ubuntu release, a new series of pain and frustration.

Canonical releases a new version of Ubuntu every 6 months, come what may. Unfortunately what most often comes is a system full of bugs, pain, anguish, wailing and gnashing of teeth - as many “early” adopters of Karmic Koala have discovered.

While I am very much against distro wars, there is something to be said for "telling it straight." Right now, Ubuntu is one of, if not the, most popular Linux distributions out. If it leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths it hurts the entire Linux community. And we need to keep Linux moving forward. For obvious reasons.
