"Today in San Francisco, lawyers are presenting their closing arguments in the trial over Proposition 8, California's 2008 voter-approved ban on gay marriage. Back in January, U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker heard from both sides in a unique proceeding intended to make factual findings on the purpose and history of marriage and how allowing gays and lesbians to marry would affect society. Befitting a trial on one of the most contentious issues of our time, the affair featured high-powered lawyers, emotional testimony both for and against gay marriage, arguments over evidence and over cameras in the courtroom, and extremely high stakes: Regardless of this week's outcome, the case is likely to be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court."

This is so stupid. How much time and energy has been wasted fighting over an issue that should never even be in question? Of course gay marriage should be legal. There is no reason whatsoever for it not to be. And before all the holey rollers start jumping on their Bible bandwagon, don't bother. I know more about the true meaning of the book than any of you ever will. But, just in case some of you might still have one brain cell that is working, here's the bottom line.
The Bible is a work of spiritual stories. It was written by men hundreds and thousands and millions and billions of years after the events it relates took place. It is meant to be inspiring and uplifting but cannot be taken literally.
The truly ironic things is that those "religious" people fighting against gay marriage have been completely duped. They are doing the work of the great evil, himself. The prince of lies wants nothing more than for everyone to go against God's word. And what is Gods word? Love.

God == Love ✝♥☮
God != Hate ✠☣☢

Pro gay marriage is pro love. When two adults love each other then there's nothing else anyone can say. Anti gay marriage is anti love and the work of the great horned one.

I have heard all the ranting and raving from the anti side and all it is is noise. No rational thought. No common sense. No use of the brain God gave them. Here's the thing. . .

If you are against gay marriage, don't marry a gay person! Personally, I am straight. Thus I have no intention of marrying a gay man. And that should be the extent of everyone's involvement in this issue.

But, as always, no one listens to me.
